Financial Support
Trinity Lutheran School receives about 70% of the total cost of educating students from tuition and church assistance. Therefore, we need regular gift assistance to properly fund the school. Below are some of the ways you can help. We are a non-profit organization. Therefore, gifts are tax deductible.
What is and what is not tax deductible: designated and undesignated financial gifts to the school are considered tax deductible and a receipt will be given to the donor. Undesignated gifts are used as needs dictate. Gifts given directly to the staff or families are not deductible. Tuition and fee payments are not tax-deductible.
General Gifts:
A general gift is undesignated and will be used in whatever area the need is the greatest. These gifts are useful because they are flexible in helping the school.
Designated Gifts:
These gifts are generally for a specific program, capital purchases, scholarships, etc. The donor specifies how these funds are used.
Memorials:
These gifts may be made in honor of aspecial person, a special event, or in memory of a deceased loved one or friend.
Matching Gifts:
Cash gifts from individuals may be matched by an employer's matching gift program. Many businesses have these programs and Trinity would be happy to work with your employer to set up this program.
Securities and real estate:
Gifts of stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate etc. may be made directly to Trinity Lutheran School. Such gifts can often give the donor useful tax advantages.
Sponsor-A-Child:
Would you like to help make a Christian classical education available to any student who desires one and cannot afford it? With our Sponsor-A-Child program, you can help a child grow in knowledge and the love of God for as little as $25 a month.
Gifting Program:
At Christmas, birthdays, or other special occasions, do you have someone who has everything or is hard to find a gift for? Try our gifting program. You can give a cash donation in that person's name to the school. We will send them a notice of your gift in their name and a thank you to the person giving the gift. |
